As the economic influence of Asian markets continues to grow, the necessity to master professional economic vocabulary remains limited by the lack of teaching materials reflecting the corresponding culture and discourse. This article introduces a model for massive open online courses (MOOCs) focusing on the regional economic terminology of Asian markets. The model was tested in professionally oriented foreign language classes. A review of current approaches to the didactic use of MOOCs made it possible to classify online courses by their terminological potential and divide the multi-level structure of the economic terminology system into international, national, and contextual layers. The proposed cyclical model focuses on the transition from receptive perception to the active use of economic terms. The experimental group demonstrated higher quality and depth of terminology use than the control group subjected to traditional methods. This linguadidactic approach proved effective in teaching languages for specific purposes in a digital environment. The MOOC model can be integrated into professional foreign language courses and independent work.
