CONSUMER PREFERENCES IN THE DAIRY PRODUCTS MARKET OF MOSCOW

Abstract (English):
The article discusses the dynamics of production and consumption of milk and dairy products in Moscow for the period from 2018–2021. Currently, the share of milk and dairy products in the structure of the cost of nutrition of the main groups of food products of the population of Moscow is 19,5 % (in the Russian Federation – 17 %). According to the results of 2022, consumer demand for dairy products is multidirectional: so there was an increase in demand for butter, drinking milk, but the demand for fermented dairy products decreased, in particular functional dairy products, drinking yoghurts, glazed cheeses, cottage cheese desserts and others. An active transition to online shopping is a developing trend among buyers: due to the convenience of shopping on the Internet, the share of FMCG online sales in 2022 was 6,2 %.
