Uncertainty factors make it necessary to study the economic and social status of the Russian population and develop effective solutions to counterbalance their negative impact. The authors assessed the domestic socio-economic situation and proposed a set of measures to improve the national well-being. They analyzed such indices as demographic situation, labor market, entrepreneurial activity, income vs. consumption patterns, and how they changed under the impact of the current period of uncertainty. The analysis yielded a set of recommendations for overcoming the existing risks and constraints. The data from open sources describing the socio-economic situation in Russia in 2019–2023 were subjected to systematization, construction of dynamics series, graphical analysis, and logical methods. The data analysis revealed some general patterns in the demographic changes. The labor market demonstrated some destabilization trends and structural changes. The income and consumption patterns in 2019–2021 showed crisis trends. The research included a survey of state policy measures aimed at improving the well-being of the Russian population and overcoming the existing risks of uncertainty. The period of 2022–2023 demonstrated definite recovery for all economic and social indicators due to the admirable adaptive abilities of the population in the conditions of uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
