Abstract (English):
The present research featured regional elections and electoral processes. The objective was to analyze the changes in research approaches, forms, and content of elections. The historical-comparative, systemic, and secondary analysis made it possible to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats for election campaigns to the State Duma in the Kemerovo region in 1993–2021. The article focuses on the concept, structure, stages, essence, efficiency, and trends of the electoral process in Russia and in the region.
